Precipitation / Flocculation Units with Sedimentation and Filtration Stages:

Villiger precipitation / sedimentation units with following sedimentation and filtration stages of type FFS +.
For the removal of dissolved substances via addition of chemicals during operation.

Method of Operation
The process or ground water that contains the dissolved pollutants or trash substances (e.g. iron or manganese) is firstly dosed with the corresponding chemicals for operation. A reaction occurs which causes heavy, barely soluble compounds to form. Addition of further chemicals (e.g. flocculants) allows these to transform into a separable form. The separation occurs in a sedimentation tank, the remaining turbidity is removed from the water in sand or multi-layered filters.

As well as providing the technology to treat the contaminated water, we are also able to process the resulting sludge. The compounds from the sedimentation are collected into a sludge accumulation vessel and conditioned with further chemicals. This sludge is then sent to a chamber filter press or a centrifuge for dewatering. The resulting solid filter cake can then be taken for disposal. We are happy to draw up a disposal concept and take on the disposal if desired.

The chemicals required for operation are added to the water to be treated by means of a storage/dosing system. They are stored in vessels that are type-tested and approved by the relevant German regulations ( § 19 WHG).

You can rely on our know-how and long experience to provide results.
