The Application
In various processes the off-gas streams have high concentrations of flammable chemicals. Frequently the mixture can be explosive or is above the explosive limit. For systems designed to deal with this situation, the most stringent of safety requirements must be followed.
Thermal systems for the treatment of high concentration off-gases are mostly used in:
- Landfill gas extraction
- Tank venting
- Various industrial production processes
Process Principle
The highly concentrated pollutant gas is fed into the incineration chamber via a special system. The incineration can happen with or without an open flame. The gas burner is built in a manner which prevents backfire, and the units are all equipped with flame arrestors. |
